Development Officer
Job Description
The Phoenix-based Goldwater Institute, just voted Arizona’s “Best Capitol Watch Dog” by the Arizona Capitol Times, seeks a proactive, hard-working, and detail-oriented Development Officer.
The Development Officer is responsible for working with the development team and development consultants in developing and implementing ongoing fundraising initiatives in support of the Institute’s mission. Elements of the Institute’s annual campaign include major donor initiatives, direct response programs, events, foundations, corporate giving, planned giving, and donor relationship. This position reports to the President/CEO.
Minimum Requirements
--A bachelor’s degree
--Four to six years of related work experience in fundraising, development, politics or public policy work, more experienced candidates may also apply
--Be familiar with the Microsoft Office software suite; InDesign a plus
--Grant writing and online fundraising experience is a plus
--Have excellent writing and oral communication skills
--Enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment and
--Share a personal philosophy compatible with the Institute’s mission and public policy objectives

Administration Manager
Job Description
The Phoenix-based Goldwater Institute, just voted Arizona’s “Best Capitol Watch Dog” by the Arizona Capitol Times, seeks a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced Administration Manager.
The Administration Manager will be responsible for front desk reception, management and maintenance of donor tracking software, bookkeeping, interior and exterior building maintenance, phone systems, information systems, maintaining inventory lists, ordering supplies, maintaining a procedures manual, supervising the designated intern program and general office management. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and Administration.
Minimum Requirements
--An associate’s degree
--two to five years of related work experience, more experienced candidates may also apply
--be familiar with the Microsoft Office software suite, QuickBooks
--enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment and
--share a personal philosophy compatible with the Institute’s mission
